Here's some that weren't fatal, but leave a person thinking...and goes to show not always is the equipment "perfect".
Steve Park
Ricky Craven
Darrell Waltrip
Ernie Irvan
Their still with us THANKFULLY, but NO longer in a car.
Y'all forgot some freaky ones though...
Tony Stewart--Daytona riding ON TOP of Bobby Labonte
Ryan Newman--Daytona (end over end over another end)
Rusty Wallace--Same as Newman..same track..
Dale Jr. and Steve Park, when Steve FIRST came back and they both ended up in the wall...
Casey Mears caught air sidewise and slammed into the wall nose to tail.
Mark Martin last year STRAIGHT into the wall. (Made my heart stop).
1984 Davey Allison memorial race at Talladega, I don't remember WHO it was but the car went over the wall down onto the access road, NOTHING left but the rollcage and the driver walked away.
So many more..not nearly enough time to go through em' all...

1) Bodine one cause that one was just freakin nuts and the truck disentagrated
2) Gordon last year at Pocono
3) Reutimann this year @ Michigan (I think) but it was the hardest hit recorded by Nascar since they started recording
4) Newman @ Daytona
5) Sadler @ Talledega
These are the worst incidents that I have seen while a Nascar Fan. All single car incidents.
All the older crashes are just crazy cause those are just brutal and not nearly the amount of Safety Equipment and Blow all mine away. Just my little list i guess

I agree with Steve S... the Petty crash is one of them.
I also would say the Waltrip and Harmon crashes too.
The Allison crash was bad enough to bring on restrictor plates.
Also in my top 5 would be the Steve Grissom crash in Atlanta before the reconfiguration when he was driving for Hedrick in the old skoal car. I thought for sure he was dead when I saw that.

Basicly I agree with your list but I would replace the Busch wreck with the one that ended Bobby Allisons career at Pocono.

Oh man.....Mikey's crash at Bristol........that was just..........(loss of words)!!!!
I saw pictures in Circle Track Magazine of his car after that crash.......he hit SSSSOOOOOOO hard..........the gear shift lever was sticking through the center of the steering wheel....actually up between the spokes!!!!! I just can't believe he stood up in the middle of the wreckage, and just stepped out of what was left of the car!!!!!!!

The one where Rusty Wallace flipped numerous times (the car was unrecognizable) and only escaped with a small scratch on his chin. It was a while back but don't remember the raceway...
