The Guardian Angels are as always, a double-edged sword.

On the one hand, it's too bad that civilians have to band together and take the law into their own hands. On the other, I'm damn glad they're willing to do what our paid peace officers won't - or can't do. Remember, paid peace officers may have their hands tied at the administrative level - and simply are not permitted to act on occasion.

Mr. Sliwa and his officers do try to keep the riff-raff out of the GAs - not always successfully - but they indeed to try. And, as with any group - all it takes is one rogue member to ruin the reputation of the entire group.

All and all - I would rather they be there than not. Sad, but true.

Sliwa's group is just a bunch of losers in funny hats ! He strikes me as being a thug with permission to harass people in a vain attempt to look like he's doing something about 'crime' on the streets. The guy is just ignorant of why crime even exists, let alone how to stop it. We already have police,we don't need a 'private' gang on the streets acting as if they're 'trained' police officers. We're almost to the point where there will be vigilantes going after what they think are 'illegal aliens'. When will we realize that crime comes out of poverty ! When we eliminate poverty, crime will drop off drastically ! We don't need more prisons or cops,we need more education opportunities and teachers !
