Genesis spends an awful lot of time talking about creepy crawlies, but doesn't mention them until Gen 16:7 when He sicks them on Hagar, a poor fleeing slave, just before He impregnates her (Gen 16:11).

Actually Gen 6 talks about God's plans to limit man's age in years, get peeved with man then drown mankind, command Noah to build a dinghy, etc.etc.

Angels were the beta versions of humans. They turned out to have some confusing and unnecessary features, such as flying, which were removed. In flying's place, God gave people "Free Will."
No one is clear on how Lucifer rebelled without Free Will.
That's not the kind of question you ask.

It's really amazing that "he" had time to make any angels at all. After all, "he" is very busy making each and every snowflake (and all of them different too!) that has ever fallen. I think you will agree that that is an enormous job. Nevertheless "he" found time to start making angels not too long after "he" "created" adam and eve. I think "he" still makes a few during periods of good weather.

Before the Big Bang, I suppose.. Angels are not chemical beings like us who are of "mixed nature"of the interplay of the physical and the spiritual.
,but are "bodiless powers" of pure spirit of mind and will. So angels are not space/time beings the way we are.
Since we are not just spirits but "spiritized bodies" the resurrection of the body is important to our becoming fully human in everlasting union with God and and all that is His .

It is my belief, that God's first angel arrived when the first good human had to die for the good of another. I live a good life, don't read the bible daily or attend church but I believe we are all angels in disguise and only take our true form if we deserve that honour when we die.

They are created beings and since nothing existed prior to Genesis, its safe to say that it was during His creating that they were formed.

Another divine gangbang.
Addendum: "they were even made before Jesus. "
That rather contradicts the notion that J was with "the father" in the beginning. Doesn't it?
