It was wrong for both of them to eat the fruit. But the Bible places a greater blame on Adam. Unlike Eve, he did not have someone tricking him into eating the fruit. He knew exactly what he was doing. Kind of the difference between making an honest mistake and deliberately doing something wrong.

Also Adam was the one given the orders to "guard and protect" the garden. So it was his responisiblity to keep the serpent out, and both of them away from the tree.

Since man bore the greater sin, it had to be through a man that things were set right again. That is why Jesus came as a male, not a female.

"Adam was but human--this explains it all. He did not want the apple for the apple's sake, he wanted it only because it was forbidden. The mistake was in not forbidding the serpent; then he would have eaten the serpent."
- Pudd'nhead Wilson

Actually logic also forces us to conclude that they were both innocent if you accept the premise that it is not possible to sin without knowledge of good and bad.
Before Adam and Eve ate the apple they did not have knowledge of good and bad, so they could not have sinned.

Yes, they were both wrong.

But the thought is that Eve was tricked and Adam knew full well what he was doing. Eve was beguiled by Satan, he talked her into eating the fruit. Whereas, Adam chose to eat the fruit...he wasn't talked into it by anyone.

That is why is it usually called the sin of Adam.

Correct. The serpent convinced Eve to eat of the forbidden fruit, then she gave some to Adam and e also pertook.

Yes, because Eve took the fruit and handed it to Adam and he took a bite and they became like gods knowing all that was good and evil. We've been cursed with worldly knowledge ever since. I want to thank them.

Yes Adam and Eve were both wrong to eat the fruit. Satan is very sneaky with us! But thank you to God for sending His Son to die, we can be forgiven of our sins!

Yes, but you'll notice that it wasn't until Adam tasted the fruit that God was angered.

I never read where Adam told Eve not to eat it. If you can quote it, enlighten me.
