I'm a first timer and want to know how badly waxing is going to hurt. I have let my underarm hair grow fairly long (I heard it needed to be long to be waxed completely), so I can only imagine the pain when it is ripped out by the roots. YIKES!!!!

The hair shouldn't be too long. Half a centimeter is good. You're right that if it's long it will probably hurt more. Also, it's more painful the first few times. Get a professional to do it if you can afford it. If you do it at home, ALWAYS use warm wax, never cold wax for underarms. Cold wax is too sticky and useless and will tug at the sweat glands, causing them to swell. Wax after a shower because the hair follicles are softer then. Do it all at once, even though the hair grows in different directions, just spread the wax upward in the main direction of hair growth in a thick layer. Wait until the cold wax is totally cool and hard, then stretch the skin with one hand (difficult to do by yourself, but possible if you're flexible!) and tug straight down very quickly and firmly. It's torture in the beginning, but pretty easy once you get used to it.

exciting. If waxing is somewhat as painful because of the fact the others have stated, i'd desire to have geared up up an immunity. I on no account shave my underarms anymore (because of the fact I continuously finally end up reducing myself) and that i've got been waxing for a while. on no account somewhat concept most of the soreness. Very reasonable and ends at as quickly as. does not do a lot for lightening my underarms, yet which would be because of the fact I even have a severe case while it comprises darkish underarms.

When you have your underarms waxed they may bleed because they are very sensitive as your underarms have so my nerve endings, they also bruise the bruising will last for up to 4 days. So if your a first timer then make sure you get someone that knows what they are doing.

The know it all has a heart of stone and no feeling.

There are a lot of nerve endings in the armpit. It will probably hurt like hell.

Its less painful to shave. You can try that. Waxing is painful, but maybe you can take a tylenol or ibuprofen before you get it done.
