I think they must be huge because evrytime they came to someone in the bible they always said "Do not be afraid." So they must be very intimidating looking.

Well I heard a story of a child who had an angel visit her. It frightened her. She commanded it to leave, because a Godly Angel would say, "Do not be afraid.". And she knew that this was a bad angel.
I believe Michael the Arch Angel is the biggest angel out there. He stands on the sea & the earth... described in Daniel. But many of the Godly angels are around 7' tall. Some around 6'Tall. So? Yes we can be undone emotionally when really experiencing a true Godly Angel. But He will say, "Do not be afraid.". An ungodly spirit would try to manipulate you with fear.

I believe that they come in all forms because if you remember in the bible they came in the form of men and they went to Lot's nephew's house and the men and boys in the towns were trying to break the door down to get to them. So, I think that they may be big and intimidating depending on the type of angel, remember there were different types, Seraphim, Cherubims and those that controlled and held the winds from the four corners of the earth back.

Since they were important messengers in the Bible, I would suppose it would scare me if I saw an angel. Then, to make sure it was actually from my Father in Heaven, I would have to test what the angel told me, against Biblical scripture. Why do you ask?

i mean imagine out of nowhere seeing these very humoungous, very tall, very ominous looking...things (b/c they have no gender) standing right in front of you...it is very wise to say "Do not be afraid" lol
there's no telling how some people would react..they might start screaming and running all over the place :P

they can look anyway they want and in fact they are invisible.
so when some man appears out of thin air and walla there he is. That would scare a person.
So then they have to reassure him they are harmless.
But actually they are very powerful creatures.

I don't think it's the size that's frightening, in fact I don't think they have a physical form at all. It's that when you experience one, you have to experience a part of their reality which is so much vaster and more profound than what most humans have ever experienced.

I would be very scared if the angel, as other angels have materialized in the past to be nasty, told me not to be afraid and to pull my pants down. noooooooooooooooooooo!!!!

i didn't know i was talking with one until the conversation was over. sometimes they are in the form of "human" to test your faith. but if i actually saw one...wings and all..i would probably be scared. but then at peace because i know they are there in the name of the Lord.
