People's disbelief in God will not make hell one degree cooler.

However this has been asked before, and all you will get is Pascal Wagner remarks.

I think it is kind of cute that people refuse to answer this question of what if.

One day, EVERY KNEE shall bow and every tongue confess. They can choose to do it in heaven, or they can choose to do it in hell. But one day they will bow.
I choose to do it in Heaven. Like you said, what do I have to loose?

I quite agree with you. I have contended all along that fear is the driving force behind religion. There is nothing wrong with that. If belief in god gives you the feeling of an insurance policy, what more do you need? You should proudly jump on the bandwagon.

That may well be true - but - do you think that people can change the way they believe out of fear of being wrong? Makes no sense. Pretending to believe in Jesus can't buy you anything. If true - he would pretty much see though your deception. I have a strong belief that going to church and not in your heart believing gets you nothing. Well - maybe some friends.

God nor Jesus - if real would want anyone to believe in them out of fear - just out of faith.

I would say "oops! There was so much confusion. Your book speaks in parables and I didnt understand most of it and most churches conflicted with everything about you including your 2nd ..and 3rd coming..rapture or no rapture. So many different versions of your bible and different translations when theres over 2000 versions of all those books had added to that confusion....so where do we go from here? thank you! :) "

Well you wanted me to be open minded...there ya go.

And what if you wake up tomorrow and discover that somehow you learned to THINK and not just BELIEVE? What if you discover that all the brainwashing you went through is gone? Would you say "oops?"
As for you particular question, it's about as smart and logical as to ask, what if 2 x 2 = 5 .

on a standard question you will get a standard answer:
pascals wager works only if there is a single religion.
Allah, Zeus, Thor and a couple of others will throw you in hell for not following their religion if you are a christian.

or you can even choose your favorite rebuttal at wikipedia:

I will not say "oops" because my belief in it is so strong that it's not even conceivable to me that it would happen.

Regardless of religion, people lived their lives. I think for most atheists, it's not about wrong or right, they're just doing their own thing. So if there is something, they'd probably say it was fun while it lasted.
