A soundcard is hardware inside your computer...not something you download. What happens when you try to play music? When you say music...do you mean mp3's or a cd or what?

You need to find the make/model of your sound card.

You download the drivers,Not the sound card.

Once you know the make and model, go the manufacturers website and download the appropriate driver for your operating system.

to find out what sound card.....

You can open Device Manager by double-clicking on the System icon in Control Panel, and choosing the Device Manager tab. It is also accessible by right-clicking on My Computer, selecting Properties, and selecting the Device Manager tab.

or

download this program and it will tell you everything about your PC

If your sound card is onboard, that is, if it is part of the motherboard, then you need to install the drivers for the motherboard. If, on the other hand, your sound card is third party, IE, installed in one of the pci slots, then you need to install the driver for that card.
