believe it or not(dont really give a ****)the best method to remove ink from any type of surface is a cheap ole can of hair spray.Oh its true! this method came in real handy when i was a student in school where i constantly had ink pens in my back pocket and was quite frequent. that would leak out and stain my jeans.it would usually soak all the way to my skin. a white trash ghetto chick turned me on the way to sucessfully remove ink stains from my trousers. i am certain that it would work on glass surfaces as well.

Brake parts cleaner will remove just about anything. It can be found at any autoparts store. You might not need to go quite that far, but when I have trouble removing something from a painted surface, that is what I use.

If you don't want to go that far, try mineral spirits or laquer thinner.

Good luck

Rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover can be pretty good at getting ink off glass also.
