Go to: http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/ and put in his name. There are many trees there, but you will need to follow them back to find his ancestral background. Remember, each person is putting together his/her own family tree. So, you need to find a tree that goes back through his direct line. I did spot one that went back to his maternal grandmother's side, but didn't track it back.
Personally, I find it more interesting to find out about my own family. But, maybe that is just me. (grin)

According to ancestry.com, Elvis is related to John Milton, Jimmy Carter, Laura Welch Bush, Emily Dickerson, Howard Taff, William Faulkner, Hilary Rodham Clinton, Marlon Brando, and Amelia Earhart. If I had to guess his ancestry (and going by the surnames), I would say it was primarily English with some Native American blood, although a lot of his forebearers are unknown. Indeed, many lines end only a few generations back from Elvis.
P. S. Much as I would like to believe Wikipedia, looking only at the ancestry provided on Ancestry.com, I can't find any evidence of any Scots; Presley apparently comes from Presler, a German Palentine name. Certain German names may be Jewish, but then again, they may not. Presley certainly does, however have Cherokee forebearers.

Elvis Presley was mostly of Scottish, Irish, Native American, Jewish, and German ancestry. According to wikipedia, if you want to find out for your self, go to www.wikipedia.org, and type in his name.
