Out of a 35mm film, the answer is NO

OUt of a superb digital SLR, the answer is NO.

From a regular medium format camera using a 70mm back, close.

From a 4x5 camera, better

From a 8x10, probably pretty good.

I would say if you can find a panoramic camera that takes 120 or 220, and Fuji makes one, you would have better results because your picture which would be normally on a 3:2 ratio on a 35 would not fit and you would lose a lot of your image.

A real quality digital SLR will go into hyper hyper pixillation very quickly and all you would see would be little rectangles that don't jive.

What you really need is a medium format to large format panoramic camera with excellent lensing and a film in the 25 ISO to 50 ISO category, or lower if you can get it and that would take a lot of lighting

Sure. That's what projectors do in movie houses (though usually with 70 mm or larger these days).
The problems lie only in the resolution and focus. Consider that you are enlarging the image 100 times, you are reducing the available information by 10,000 on any given area.
So if you have a very very sharp image, and use a very fine screen in the enlarging process, there is no reason why you can't.

Yes you can, and while the resolution will not be all that great up close, a picture of that size would only be needed for viewing far away, I'm guessing. You'll probably see better results from a medium format SLR in terms of resolution, but it is possible.

It's certainly doable, especially considering what the expected viewing distance would be.

It would be far easier, though, to get good results from medium or large format film.

You could also consider renting either a medium format digital back or a large format scanning back.

Yes you can, but the resolution will not be very good. It will appear grainy and out of focus at that size. I better way would be to take the photograph with a digital camera with very high resolution.
