In the United States there is approximately 18,382,291 Mexican Americans who immigrated here legally. The population in Mexico fluctuates around 103,263,388. The Mexican population in the United States is about one fifth of Mexico, but the estimates given do not include illegal immigrants. The population of illegal immigrants rivals that of legal immigrants and in some estimates the illegal Mexican population is around the 20,000,000 range, which still falls well short of the population of Mexico. I understand what you were getting at, but the numbers are well off.

Mexico's total pop is 108 million. For there to be more Mexicans here than in Mexico, one in three people in the US would have to be Mexican. Obviously not true, and not ever likely to be?

No. There are more mexicans in Mexico than there are 'minorities' of every kind, including Hispanic, combined in America.

On a serious note
There are more (Illegal) Hispanic births every day in Dallas than there are in Mexico city.
What does that mean?
They are coming across to have their children so they can have an anchor baby.

I hope this question is a joke. Seriously, one of the causes of illegal immigration is that the Mexican population grows faster than the Mexican economy.
