You should already have called. You should have sent a thank you the same day as the interview and called back within a couple of days. An employee who is anxious to work makes a better impression than one who shows no assertiveness or interest.

Send a thank you letter the day of the interview or the next day. Then, wait about one week from the day of the interview to call back and check in.

A thank you letter should have gone out immediately. Five days is ok to wait for phone call provided that you sent the thank you. If no thank you...call immediately
