It's always best to have a car looked over or evaluated prior to purchasing. However to answer your question, depending on what make of car you purchased (and how much you paid) you can either take it to a dealership to have it inspected, oil changed and such, or you can find a mechanic who would look it over for you. In the phone book, look for a service station if you don't want to spend the extra money at a dealership. Good Luck and enjoy your car!

Should of had it checked out before you bought it.

You can take it to a garage or a trusted mechanic, or look in the phone book, there are companies that do car inspections and do a very thorough job of it.

A mechanic I trust. But I'd have taken it BEFORE I bought it.
