I lived in Soviet Central Asia for a couple of years and loved horsemeat. A stuffed horse rectum is actually a delicacy :-)
I have also eaten sheep brains and intestines, both of which are pretty good, believe it or not. Buffalo, alligator, bugs, etc... are all ones I've eaten, but probably horse takes the cake!

Once, I was forced to eat live ants. Another time, I was forced to eat uncooked snail. I lived in Australia for two years, and I think I've eaten Witchity Grubs (the Aborigines love Witchity Grubs!).

I guess "unusual" is a matter of where you live and what others around you consider "normal". I have eaten lots of animals many would consider unusual, including:
antelope, squid, bear, alligator, frog, wild rabbit, wild duck, wild goose, dove, buffalo, sage chicken, pheasant, deer, moose, elk, and eels.

I've tried a little bit of everything. Alligator, rattlesnake, buffalo, squirrel, even eaten possum stew...before I knew what it was. :-)
I enjoy wild game. My least favorite meat, duck.

while i replaced into at citadel Benning, we hosted a snake roast for the senior classification from West factor. each thing does not style like hen, snake style like snake. Case closed. In Ranger instruction we found out that once you roll a log over ,something there is organic protien and you will consume it.I surpassed on that one.

Ostrich, or octopus I guess. Ostrich just tastes like steak, and octopus was like a weird version of calamari. Turkey isn't that unusual, but I've had deep fried turkey testicles. They were interesting once you get past thinking about what you were eating!

I'm generally not into eating weird animals, but I did try alligator once. It tasted pretty much like chicken, just like I always heard.

Pickled octopus! It was delicious actually.
It's a Greek delicacy and it's smothered in olive oil, yum!
