I got one when I was14 (not an adult but they usually give them now at 1 year old) and I haven't gotten autism.

I think they have retracted that report correlating autism and bowel disease with the MMR. Peer studies were not able to find a connection that Wakefield found.

I don't believe that there is any real link. I am not a doctor or subject matter expert, but having been a medic in the army, I have given this shot to more people than I can count, as every new enlisted gets it (don't get me started on the over vaccinating of people that have already gotten it). I know this has been going on for some time in the army, and I am sure that there would have been some type of outcry if all the soldiers were becoming autistic. Furthermore, you can read about this at the CDC's webpage, where they have a whole page dedicated to this question, but basically is summed up as, there is no link, but they are still researching it to make sure.

This is a big controversy and is probably a big crock of nonsense. There are many, many autistic people around who were born before most of the immunizations were even dreamed of, much less invented.
I am autistic (Asperger's Syndrome). I was born autistic. I did not have any immunizations at all except smallpox until I was eighteen years old.
There is no such thing as adult-onset autism.

MMR is for protection against measles, mumps and rubella. It is administered to children not adults. The link between MMR and autism is very contentious and at present it is thought that there is no link. As an adult you will not get/catch autism

What? "Get" autism like you "Get" a cold? Do some research and you will find out that adult onset autism is unheard of. If you are autistic, you didn't just wake up one morning with autism, it's been something you would have been dealing with your entire life.
