caffeine should not be used when you have high blood pressure. Try an herbal tea that is caffeine free. They have so many delicious varieties you will probably enjoy it more than regular tea.

caffeine can temporarily raise your blood pressure while it is in your system. If you drink a lot of tea, it may be contributing to your high blood pressure, although it is probably not the cause. It is probably better to avoid or cut back on your caffeine intake.

caffeine does raise your blood pressure. this is because it causes an adrenal-like reaction in your body. this is also why you experience a raise in your heart rate. If however, you constantly drink caffiene, your body has probably adjusted and no longer affects your system that way anymore.
