"To say something does not exist you need complete knowledge of the universe."
Bzzt. Didn't take you long to screw that up, did it?
(Drinks)
I'm an atheist. That means that I don't believe in gods. It doesn't necessarily mean that I claim to know that there are no gods, and it certainly doesn't imply that I claim to be 100% certain that there are no gods.
Now, this particular atheist (me) DOES claim to know that there are no gods, but does not claim to be 100% certain that there aren't any. I know that there are no gods in the same way (and for exactly the same reasons) that I know there are no polka-dotted chimpanzees dancing on my head. I could be wrong about that, but I sure don't know of any evidence that I am. If the evidence comes in, I'll rethink my position.
Knowledge does not imply certainty, or inability to be wrong, or possession of proof, or anything of that sort. Belief obviously doesn't imply anything like that. Certainty is almost completely unimportant: when it comes to knowledge about the nature of the universe, certainty implies ignorance.

Wrong, to say something DOES exist you need proof of it. To say you don't think that something exists means you are disagreeing with those who say it does.
The burden of proof is on those claiming the existance. The concept of god was created by the theists, the atheists disagreed, the concept is what must be proven, not the challenge to it.
I sort of agree with the agnostic fellow above though, but I see the difference between disagreeing with a belief in god and claiming a god doen't exist.

Man, I hate this argument because in effect, you as a believer take it on faith that he does exist. You cannot know if he exists or not as well, making you an agnostic, too.
But, through logic and reason, we can conclude that your god doesn't exist because there isn't any reasonable proof in our KNOWN world that he does exist. By that, we can assume that he doesn't exist else where. If we are his children, why would there not be any physical proof here available to us but elsewhere in the universe? It's like saying throughout the world, there exists proof but under a rock in rural Georgia just under a random tree in a distant forest. Doesn't make sense.

An atheist is someone who believes there are no gods. Very few atheists claim to KNOW that there are no gods. But they see no reason to believe that there are any, or that the possibility of a god existing is worth mentioning.
Your definition of atheism and agnosticism is simply inaccurate.

I don't believe in demons. I don't need complete knowledge of the Universe to NOT believe in demons. Atheists don't believe in gods. Same thing.

Atheism is the lack of belief in any gods.
Let me try to give you an example.
Does Allah exist?
Does Zeus exist?
Does Ahura Mazda exist?
Does the Invisible Pink Unicorn exist?
Does the Flying Spaghetti Monster exist?
Do dragons exist?
Do goblins exist?
Do pixies exist?
You can't prove any of those things don't exist - however, the burden of proof is on the one claiming they do.

Interesting. Then to even make the claim "There are no atheists" you would have to have complete knowledge of every human, which I assume you do not. According to your premise, you would have to say "I believe there are no atheists" which you didn't. So it seems we both agree that your premise is flawed.
[edit] SinisterKat is also correct. You have changed the definition of atheist.

Look it up before you bring it up. I don't think you know what you are saying.
I believe in God......how else do you think the universe was created??? Big bang theory.......I think not! Something can't come from nothing unless the hand of God was involved! That includes you, me and everyone else who was created.

Incorrect. The Earth is millions of years old and it all that time not one single tiny shred of evidence has come to light to show the existence of a god or gods.
That's proof enough for me

And since there is no proof you can not fully know there is a god but you also think there might be an easter bunny, unicorns, flying spaghetti and various dishes orbiting in space?
