Jesus is not omnipotent. This is wrong thinking, that is not honoring his memory. Jesus is not alive, he died for us. When you worship Jesus as God you are not worshiping the Father. You are putting the Son above the Creator.
By all means, praise Jesus for his sacrifice that we might all have acceptance by God.
That is the real truth, and it rocked, and continues that way because of Jesus.
I think the church has forgotten this. The message is there, but they fail to see it for what it really is. Any Christian Church that preaches anything other than acceptance of all Gods children, all people, believer or not, is just breading hate. That goes against Jesus teaching and is not honoring his sacrifice, and certainly will not put you in Gods favor.
Jesus don't allow it, but many churches have become corrupt. Those that are preaching hate, that others are hell bound for not following by their rules are the ones who are actually doing the "satan's" work that they are always accusing us of. Why do they have to guilt you into submission? Why do they make you buy yourself into God's favor? Haven't people figured out there is only one path to greatness. It is You, God, and pureness of heart. We are all capable of sin, but must have a much greater capacity for love.

He allows us the freedom to choose our own path, which in turn could be construed as "bad" since many will choose destructive paths.
