Sounds like you have strep throat.
You need antibotics. Your kids can catch it
if that's what it is.

It sounds like you may have a bacterial infection - I'm going to take a wild guess (since you didn't include any other major signs/symptoms) and say it is probably Strep. pyogenes (or what most people commonly refer to as "Strep throat").

If you absolutely cannot go to a doctor, or a clinic (even a low cost one), then you can try this: Take a cotton swab, and dip it into some hydrogen peroxide, then gently wipe the coated swab over the white patches. This will help eradicate the localized bacteria, and hopefully help get rid of this for you faster.

You can also try gargling with hot water and salt (salt has anti-microbial aspects). Another thing to try is to make a concoction of hot water, lemon juice, a lot of honey, and a bit of vodka - the honey also has anti-microbial faculties to it, the citrus acid will help fight the bacteria, and the vodka is basically ethanol, and will also kill off some bacteria (just make sure to sort of hold it in your mouth for a bit before you swallow).

Also, listerine may help also, since it goes after all sorts of nasty microbes.

I hope you get better! ;o)

you might want to go to the doctor. i had this when i was younger. it was called oral cacsaki or something to that effect. anyway i had to go to the docotor and they gave me medicine.

it could also be strep or a sore throat from your cough. try some of those chloroseptic spray. the white spots wont go away but the pain will.

if your throat hurts still drink tea or hot coa coa and than have some hot soup. it really does help.

It's an infection of some type, probably strep throat. You need an antibiotic, which means you're going to have to go to a doctor. Sorry.

You have a throat infection. this has happened to me several times. antibiotics are the only cure. if no Dr. trips for you, then you just gotta wait it out.

Sounds like strep throat. If it is you need antibiotics. If left untreated strep throat can lead to scarlett fever. I had it when I was a kid. It can be dangerous if not treated.
