ok DO NOT GET DIAL-UP!
i have had dial up for about 6 years becuase dsl, and high speed internet is not in my area and i can say dial-up sucks!

Unusually superb tech support! A few drops, admittedly, quickly recovered. Good speed. Installation smooth as silk. No crappy other bloatware to add (like, for example, MSN Premium plus Norton, as one in my area insists: just a simple straightforward connection! What's not to like?
