I'm a 19 year old girl. I tried working 9 to 5 jobs, one word: torture! Recently I've been thinking about my future and what kind of career I would like to start. I've discovered that the most thing that I'm very passionate about is charity. I've always been envolved with charity and I've always enjoyed helping others.

My question is, how do I start my own charitable organization? I know I'm only 19 with little money but I'm willing to work hard and raise money or even get a job to fund my project. I just want to know where to start! I'm in Egypt and that's where I want to start the project. I would love to improve social and economical conditions of Egyptians as well try to help with the problem of huge amounts of homeless children and child labor.

Yea I know big dreams but HOW DO I START MAKING THIS HAPPEN? It is really my dream!

If you could give me steps on how to start or whar to do, tips or advices.. anything will be greatly appreciated.

The best way to start is by working at a non-profit organization, and volunteering your own time to your project.

This gives you the clout and trust needed for people to have faith in your vision and know that you are not just another person with a"give me money and I promise to (but won't really) donate it to someone" penchant.

What's more, you will see for yourself, the ups and downs of running a charity, including possible pitfalls and learning experiences so that you don't make the same mistakes that others have.

Start small. It could be as big as opening a food kitchen that is run by abandoned or low-income teenagers, teaching them valuable skills and showing them how to help themselves by helping others, or something as small as making a meal for low-income families and serving it once a week.

Find places or people willing to give you free food (bread, rice, fruits, vegetables, etc.) like bakeries, restaurants, grocery stores. Take the food home and make meals to feed the children. Place the food in small bags and hand them out to the homeless. Speaking to people you know that own a business, lead a church, or have money. Gain their trust and they will probably help you get started. Lead by example and others will want to help you. Go to a local charity and ask if they are hiring or need help. If you have a hobbie (pottery, beading, jewelry, art, photography, cooking, sewing, etc.) then make things you can sell. Tell the buyers a portion of the money goes to help the children. Sell these items in tourist areas.

The first step is this: join someone else's charity organization. Learn how it works, learn how to raise money. Once you've learned how fundraising is done and where the greatest needs are, start raising funds and go for it.
