If everything about christianity was true....except the existence of an afterlife....would you still be a christian?

Yes. I believe that Christ gave us directions for the only way to live in true peace with one another--"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". Without believing and adhering to that teaching we will continue to fight wars, hurt each other and live chaotic and unhappy lives. But when Jesus left us he said, "I go to prepare a place for you. . . and in my Father's house there are many mansions". He also told one of the other people who was crucified, "This day you will be with me in paradise". So I do believe in the existence of some form of an afterlife.

um - I'm not a christian but which particular version are you referring to? Cause a lot of people within the religion disagree with each other and I thought the afterlife was intrinsic to all of the beliefs!

we have had onions now carrots

I think there are a few Christians who may value the teachings of Jesus above all else
but there are many who need to believe the promise of eternal life

Yes I would. I experience God's love and help now. Why would I want to live without the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the love of God?
