No color. The chameleon would be to scared to change. :(

It depends on its mood and what it's trying to "say".
Despite common belief chameleons don't change colour to blend in with their background/environment but do so to communicate/express mood. (Squid and octupii do the same, so do we when we go red with anger, have dark moods, feel blue, go white with fear, green with envy, purple with rage or pink with pleasure!)

if there is no light then black because theres no color anywhere
