You need 4 cups.
1 cup = 8oz
8oz = 1/2 lb
2 cups = 16oz
16oz = 1lb
2 x 16oz = 32oz

Most bakers are taught that a pint is a pound the world around. Since there are 2 cups in a pound you would need 4 cups for 2 pounds, etc.

Around 4 cups,If you build a balance scale you can be more accurate(use a known weight on one side/product on other)
