It's been so long I haven't fallen in love... could it be becausemy parents got a divorce? I'd like to have a boyfriend but I'm also scared of being dependant on someone. I also can't find anyone I'd really like to be with. What should I do?

Just wait, there's no hurry. Your parents being divorce might have something do to with it, but you have to think that everybody is different. Also being in love as nothing to do with losing your Independence. just because you love someone there's no reason for you to lose your Independence. I've been married for 7 years. love my husband to death, and he loves me, but we both go out with our friends and we both have days by ourselves, like I'll go shopping all day by myself, and he'll have a day of fishing.
so really being in love doesn't make you lose your Independence unless you want it that way.
You know what they say, there's something worst that having your heart broken, never knowing how it feels to be love ...
