Beej mantras are to be chanted loudly and not silently in mind when only they are to be chanted alone. Vocal sound has direct effect on mind and intellect as one has to concentrate on proper pronounciation. While chanting if the mind simultaniously thinks other things or goes somewhere else, there is every possiblity of wrong pronounciation. Even unsteady or revolting thoughts may lead to wrong pronounciation. Such wrong pronounciations may harm the chanter/devotee and instead of upliftment, there is every possibility of ruin/uprooting everything. Hence it is always suggested that whenever beej mantras are to be chanted singularly, Guru is and his constant supervision are must.

The mantras of the slokas are beeja or seed mantras which can and which do awaken and stimulate the energies within the body, as well as the energies in the environment. The chanting of each verse is chorused by a combination of three beeja mantras: aim, hreem, kleem. Aim is the beeja mantra of Saraswati, hreem is the beeja mantra of Lakshmi and kleem is the beeja mantra of Durga or Kali. Each verse is chanted in combination with the beeja mantras. Durgasaptashati is a very important book of the Tantras. Every year, twice during the period of Navaratri, the nine days dedicated to the worship of the Cosmic Mother, people throughout the Indian sub-continent chant from that book. Of course, now this is only a tradition, a routine, and people do not know the deeper meaning behind it. But their faith and belief in the chanting of the mantras is still very strong and many incredible results are noticed. The beeja Mantras are very powerful and create energies and they should be pronounced and initiated with proper guidance of a able Guru less we spell wrongly or mispronounce them, there by the required effect is not attained or advance effect is received. -

Take God in your heart as Guru - and ask him to pardon / correct mistakes that you are doing - while chanting the mantra. If your thoughts stray - beg for forgiveness and ask him to correct you, and bring you on correct path - what else can we do. But do ahead and say the mantra in your mind - with devotion and enjoy the bliss of another dimension that you cannot explain to your family members !!

Beeja Mantras are very powerful because they initiate the energy. "Om"(aum) is the basic Beeja Mantra, which represents the whole universe.

"Aim" is representing Mother (Aayee)Earth
"Hrim" is representing the Bliss (Aananda)
"Klim" is initiating the Desires (Kama)

The idea is:.. the Kama is Beeja where the very beginning of Ego starts.

When "KLIM" is spurious everything will be rotten.

The real guru teaches us how to understand these enabled energies to motivate them into a spiritual experience.

Guru is very very important to understand the TANTRA

All BeeJ-mantras are derivatives of AUM (OM) You are the Guru. When you can chant OM why not lower BEEJAs.beejas are not powerful than OM
