Well mom refuses to take me to the docter to get it checked out, so what do you think? I have hand tremers from time to time, I have a sudden head jerk sometimes kind of like that of a dog, ans now I have this uncomfortable pain in my right leg and around my knee that causes it to jerk a little if I don' t move it after a while. My knee also hurts after walking around for a while and sometimes when I drive. What could this be?

I'm 17, so family history I know of, and I'm I've had hand tremers for a while. I don't think that its as serious because when I went for a sports physical (track)during the school year, I marked down that I had tremers and they didn't say anything about them.

Sounds like you have a pinched nerve somewhere. You might want to get it checked. I have neck problems myself, and when it flares up, it makes my whole left arm hurt and my hand will trimmer. Pain medicine doesn't help it much either. I have deteriated vertibrae in my neck.

You need to see a neurologist. It can be a number of things. You say you drive. Are you under 18 ? If you are under 18 and still in school this would be medical neglect on the part of your parents. I assume school is out for the summer so going to a school nurse may not be an option right now. If you can hold out long enough that is what I would suggest. Once they inform your parents of the need for medical care they have no choice and if not done will be reported to child protective services. I am hesitant to list things that this maybe and you would have to under go several test to confirm any one of them. If you have any changes or more pain etc. consider going to the ER. Good Luck and God Bless.

You really do need to see a doctor.

There are a number of things it could be...not all of them serious, but only evaluation by a professional medic will determine which treatment, if any you need.

Please try and get some help

Good luck

What ever it is, needs medical attention and why would your mom refuse to take you to the doc? She thinks you are just acting? Show her the swelling on the knee and she may agree.

how old are you? what resources do you have for treatment?

any family history of anything like this?

does the tremor occur when you are resting, or moving our hand toward something?

how long has it been going on? when is it worse? what makes it better?
