There are so many interpretations of the bible and those people who interpret it think they are 100% right and won't question theirselves when someone comes up with a different interpretation. If so many people interpret the bible differently and believe they are 100% right how do we know these people are right at all and why would God allow a book to be written that is claimed to be his word that can't be universally interpreted to mean the same thing no matter who reads it? Especially when the people who read it think that their interpretation is the right one and can't be convinced otherwise

When intelligent people study the bible with good intent, and they determine that another person interpretted it wrong, you should believe them. And, since all of them think everyone else is wrong, you can therefore only conclude that they are ALL wrong.

Historically speaking, there is more proof available for the Bible than any other manuscript and by a wide margin. There are literally thousands available for comparison and while I agree with Cricket historians also agree that the Bible is well over 90% accurate which is nearly unheard of in the realm of ancient manuscripts. This means that the overall wording interpretation is over 90% perfect. Example: "I heard a really loud boom this morning!" and "Something exploded about six A.M.!" say the exact same thing, they are just worded differently. Check out the book 'The case for Christ' by Lee Strobel. Great read. 'A case for faith' is also a great read.
Our own personal interpretation is very different. Before you seek to interpret the meaning of God's word you should first seek Gods guidance.

This is a very good question.

Here's my take:

Yes, there are many denominations because people interpret the Bible differently. However, nearly ALL Christian (if they don't, they're not Christian) denominations can agree on this:
1. God created the Earth.
2. Life exists because of God.
3. God sent His Son, Jesus Christ to die for our sins.
4. Jesus was resurrected, and is still alive today.

We agree on the IMPORTANT things.

And what you're talking about is PEOPLE. That's the way we are about everything. That's why atheists and religious people go at it so much on here. We each have a different interpretation of the evidence.

I believe the Bible is the word of God. But I also believe that there's a human factor to religion.

Not everyone's interpretation of the Bible is correct, in fact I do not think anyone has a totally accurate interpretation of the Bible. Even Biblical literalists argue over interpretation. God inspired some men to write a book, however, He left the interpreting to us.

People's differing interpretations have nothing to do with whether or not the Bible is God's Word.

When you say something, it is still what you said, and still means what you said, regardless of how someone else may interpret or misinterpret it.

The Bible is consistent with itself, and interprets itself. If we take the time to read and understand it and its context, we can come to a right understanding.

I have had same question in my mind. I search about it and finally decide: these messages of God are for those whose language is this because they need the guidance if God is really great if he want to tell us some thing that should be in our language.
It is very simple, like my language is Urdu but I want you to understand my message, am writing it in English.

It's not. Man wrote the bible not God. Men that wanted control made up all the rules.

The Bible is perfect ....man is NOT....please remember that.
That's why we need the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to get its full meaning.

"Every Word of God is perfect....and profitable for docrine, reproof, and correction...and training in righteousness."
