If you have a regular bike, ride as many miles as you can, again starting out slowly.

Whatever exercise you do, start off slow and build up to your maximum. Start 10 minutes the first week then add 5 minutes each week thereafter until you reach the time you want to put into it. It must be done daily for weight loss. Personally, I do any where from 30 minutes walking to an hour and a half. I have been successful in losing weight and maintaining it for two years now. You will feel great if you vary your exercises. Like biking one day and walking the next to keep you motivated. There' a lot of things you can do with some guidance. Cycling is a good workout. You should also incorporate some weight training and maybe some pilates for your legs. I would start with a minimum of 20-30 minutes a day and gradually increase it until you can workout for a full hour. You can break it up into two sessions if you need to.
