miraclehand2020. What are you talking about? I'm not saying God needs anything. I am a Christian who just asked a question and wanted different opinions.

Miranda Gannon, what an interesting soliloqy. Too bad you fail to mention that when you are handed a piece of Christian literature, you have the right to decline it. Christians who condemn, are NOT Christians and condemn only themselves by their own tongues. We are here to uplift and show the path of righteousness, not judge. It is too bad that in your opinions, many will not point out that all Christians are not the same. That most really do care about their brothers and sisters throughout the world.

John 15:18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before [it hated] you.
Jesus was hated by others and He warned us as well, if we follow Him we to will be hated. We to will suffer not as bad as Him but we will all suffer because we have chose to follow Jesus. We should all be happy to be persecuted, because at least we know we are standing up for Jesus and our rights in Jesus as well. Peace

I find it interesting that you've phrased the question in such a fashion as to exclude all but Christians from responding. Good way to gather a cheerleading squad, bad way to garner answers from a wider variety of viewpoints. Nevertheless, I will respond to the question.
Since you decided to present the question in the present tense, I assume you're referring to treatment of Christians in the present day. You are not the most persecuted faith worldwide. You are, however, the most critically and frequently examined faith among atheists, and agnostics whose opinions veer toward atheism. If you're wondering why that is, allow me to clarify: You're the most proliferant proselytizers on the planet. On any given day, one may experience: a Mormon pair of youngsters bearing a free copy of the Book of Mormon at 7 a.m., a pair of Jehovah's Witnesses at ten a.m., a Southern Baptist passing out leaflets entitled "Are you going to Hell?!" as you attempt to quietly purchase lunch at a fast food restaurant... so on and so forth. So much as theists and nontheists may badger and belittle each other in the venue of the Internet, presenting an almost warlike situation between the two, real life has a much different picture to offer. Your melodramatic question suggests atheists are pounding at your door, informing you of the host of benefits accompanying non-religiousness, and this just isn't the case.
Simply put, an atheist can never say "no" to religion once. We must repeat it over and over, the very same question (sometimes reiterated by the very same people) being presented to us repeatedly. It becomes tiring. It becomes frustrating. Annoying. Much like having the same telemarketing company call you with the same pre-recorded advertisement every day. After a while, you call the telephone company and ask to be placed on a "no soliciting" list, because you're quite certain you're happy with your long-distance carrier. Same rule applies here. We've made our decision, as you've made yours. Trouble is, Internet dramatics aside, you're generally left alone afterward. We are not. Ever.

You think you are persecuted because you want to be. That's what your Bible tells you - that you will be persecuted for your beliefs...then you complain about it. Christians are the majority in the nation yet you think that YOU have been persecuted? Get over yourselves. If you want to know of a religion that actually has been persecuted, look at what happened to the Jews in WWII, Native Americans, or Muslims in present day America and stop your whining.

i would say you might have a bit of a complex but if it is the case that Christians are getting persecuted then it is probably because of people like the one above who states that when (though it should be if) he gets to heaven he will point down to everyone else and laugh! well if he does get to heaven i will feel for the good natured Christians with people like him you are still gonna have class issues . It ain't gonna be the perfection you so expected

Christians are not the most persecuted, but many of them bring it on themselves through their actions (telling everyone that if they are not a Christian, they are going to hell, waving the Bible all around, being hypocritical, etc.)
Some Christians who act like that give the rest of us a bad name, and, rather than showing others how to be kind and loving, they show others how inane and off-putting certain Christians can be.

It's sad! Many of us are really cool people, and some Christians ruin it for us all.

Christians are not persecuted. Get a life.

Christian countries are the richest on Earth - they DO the persecuting. The church has a great line in persecution.

If you want to find people who are persecuted try gay people. The Christians line up in advance to stick the boot in.

That one person says Muslims are? I don't think so.
And You Are asking Christians but you see how many
others who aren't are answering your question which means they are offended as usual.
Christians have also been killed for their beliefs by
the way.
Like someone on here said, they lump all Christians
the same. There are some Christians who do not
have the same views as others like myself. I am a
very different type of Christian as some people say.
And I have seen on TV people making jokes about
Christians. I never pick on any of their religions but
they cannot leave Christians alone for some reason.
If they don't believe at all, I don't argue with them.
I just ignore the insults in the real world, I have had
them.

The largest by far of all religions claiming the victim role?
Mmm. Interesting. Islam usually does that.

Does it help that you set the stage for this "persecution" complex? I see this whole persecution thing as a ploy to get people to "sober up" and join you in your delusional crusade. I'm not buying into it one bit. So grow up and get over yourselves.

Man this whole theatrics should really stop before one day you really find out the meaning of persecution for now you're trying to act like you're something you're not and won't be.

Could you care to explain to me how is it possible to persecute 80 percent of America and even other countries that believe in Christianity as well? Most importantly what is persecution how is it done?

80% of the US population and you honestly think you are persecuted? I really wonder how you guys are going to whine when the US goes the same route as Europe and you aren't a majority anymore. You are crying now about things that don't even make sense.
