I hope for evidence proving that:

1) The reverse is happening (global cooling) OR
2) There is no downward or upward trend in global temperatures
3) Current evidence for global warming is insufficient
4) The current temperature trend is natural, not man-made
5) Global warming is self-reversible.

Links will be good!

I would like to make one simple point. Many of your other replies have already covered that the scientists proclaim it to be true, and I believe them. But what they are proclaiming to be true is "Global Climate Change" NOT "Global Warming". The reason why it is important to make this distinction is two fold. 1st as climate becomes disrupted around the globe, some regional areas may actually experience cooling, rather then warming, although the general trend on a global scale would be warming. 2nd if polar melt off is able to disrupt ocean currents (which cycle equatorial warmth into the Northern Hemisphere) then the world could rather abruptly be thrust in the exact opposite direction into an ice age, which would hopefully allow the earth to store a lot of Man's carbon emissions back into the polar ice caps as they were redeposited through snow fall. Anyways, the earth is warming, but at the same time is becoming less predictable. So "Global Climate Change" is a more appropriate term as our effect could swing it either way IMHO. (both are bad, though, so better to act now well we still have the oportunity) I suppose in a way, if an ice age can store our carbon emissions then in a way this mechanism could be the earths way of "self correcting" run off carbon emissions and possibly satisfying your 5th point.

It all boils down to #3. The truth of the matter is that we don't have enough evidence to conclusively state what effect humans are having on global climate. We can't conclusively state the quantitative effect that ANY of the factors, from the Sun down to earthworms, has on global climate. It's not as if man hasn't been trying. But all of a sudden, when scientists investigate one problem - anthropogenic greenhouse emissions - Eureka! Like some modern day Archimedes, we've figured out global climate in a relative instant...at least to the point that we can ask folks to make trillion dollar plus sacrifices every year for the next century. How this second revelation came about is anybody's guess.

Here's an article that raises a few questions about methodology:

Here is something to ponder...
The quality of the land based temp. data Used to make the case of Anthropogenic Warming (A.W.) is questionable at best. Satellite readings of temperatures in the lower troposphere, which according to the climate models, is the portion of the atmosphere that would immediately reflect any A.W. Since these comprehensive global Satellite readings have been compiled 23 years ago, NO sustained warming trend has been noted. These readings are accurate to within 0.01ºC, and are consistent with other data from weather balloons. Only land-based temperature stations show a warming trend, and these stations do not cover the entire globe, they are often contaminated by heat generated by nearby urban development, and because of their proximity to heat sources are subject to error. Here is a web site that documents the problem with the quality of the land station data. http://www.surfacestations.org/
The fact that A.W. Group-Think alarmists, wish to railroad society into spend Trillions on Faux Environmentalism is irresponsible and endangers global security & lives.

well as far as #1 goes
1) the reverse is happening and the earth is cooling

They say that global warming can spur an ice age so eventually you're right maybe the earth will cool.

234 have been proven opposite of what you said... sorry.

5) To reverse the trends of global warming all we have to do is suck up and store mass amounts of the carbon we released into the atmosphere.... Someday we may have the ability to slowly do so but today on a massive scale we really don't have the technology or resources... Although if you look into alternative energy sources such as algae or corn they'll suck up a lot of carbon while growing though you'll just re-release it into the atmosphere when you burn the energy.

This temperature chart is as accurate as any used by the Global Warmth Alarmists.

The problem the GWAs would have, if they didn't have so many friends in network news, is all of the charts used by GWAs will fit in the last half inch or less of this chart.

We do not have enough evidence because we have not studied it long enough. The temperature of the earth has cycled since the beginning of time. It will continue to cycle long after we are gone. We have very little affect on the temperature of the earth. We will have to learn`to adapt to climate changes just like our ancestors did.

It is a natural phenomena caused by the sun. Since the invention of the telescope over 400 years ago, man has recorded sunspot activity. Because of these historical records, we can compare variations in sunspot activity to long term trends in cooling and heating in other historical records. Sunspot activity strongly correlates with levels of Carbon 14 and Berrylium 10 isotopes found in tree rings and ice cores. Therefore, accurate, long term reconstructions of sunspot activity can be made with low margins of error. The reconstructions of sunspot activity correlate strongly with almost every reconstruction of global temperature until about 1980. For more info you can check out this link:

The question is not whether global warming exists, global warming has existed since the early days of Earth, when the Earth first began to form an atmosphere.

The Earth has always gone through periods of cooling and warming, always will.

The argument is, "How much of an impact do humans have on global warming?"

There are zealots on both sides of the issue who like to use misinformation to swing people to their beliefs, you need to use commonsense to weed out the propaganda.
