Was it written too late? Are there many passages that contradict the bible?
Here's one passage: Consider, for example, the final saying Thomas contains: "Simon Peter said to them, ‘Make Mary leave us, for females don’t deserve life.’ Jesus said, ‘Look, I will guide her to make her male, so that she too may become a living spirit resembling you males. For every female who makes herself male will enter the kingdom of heaven’" (Thomas 114).

As St. Paul said, "There is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus" (Gal. 3:28).

The so-called Gospel of Thomas is a fake. It was written between one and two centuries after the apostle Thomas’s death.

There were many Gnostic gospels, even one for Judas.
If they are not in the bible, they are not divinely inspired.

Most of the Gospels were written after the original "Writer" died. It was a common practice (not considered fakery) to name your gospel after a historical personage.

Second, you quote a gospel that was one of many at that time that existed before the Bible in it's present form was created. BEFORE Paul's writings were accepted officially.

Finally, Paul himself was never a direct disciple of Jesus, and was even stoned at one time by those very same followers of Jesus (according to Paul himself). His teachings are more appropriate to the Mithran mystery cults than the teachings Jesus shared. Paul was a would-be priest that was turned into a Jesus-follower hunter, then described his spiritual encounter with Jesus, in his own words, in three contradictory ways, and proceeded to teach the cult of Mithras substituting Jesus for Mithra.

You want fake?

I normally don't mention these things, as I am a great respecter of the works Christianity has done over the years, but calling the Gospel of Thomas fake on these grounds is silly. It MAY BE FAKE! But not based on this evidence.
