One of the commandments the bible says is "Six days you shall labor and do all your work but the seventh day is Sabbath and you should rest? I don't think I'll be getting a job in the future because I don't think I'll be needing the money. I'm getting approximately $70,000. I have it all figured out if I spend $175/week that'll last me for 70 years which is the life expectancy. Instead of working do you think God will count lifting weights as work because it is tiring and work? Walking on a tredmill?

The interest is 3% and I get it every 3 months.

I get $2100 in interest every 3 months and that would me $700/mo and $175/wk. A job pays $175/wk so since I'm already getting that there's no reason for me to work is there?

lifting weight and walking on a treadmill is exercise, and I think that God would want you to do that.

PS don't forget to tithe your percent to God.
as the Bible duely instructs.

Your plan seems a little simplistic and unrealistic. How about major purchases like buying a car, or a house, or paying monthly rent? What happens when you get married and have kids, they will use a lot more of that money than you think. How much will you spend when you get sick? Doctors and hospitals aren't cheap.

From another stand point, you wold get pretty bored if the only thing that you did was work out; you can do that for only a limited time each day before you wear yourself out. Studies have shown that boredom and not having enough work to do can be as stressful as too much work.

God had your best interest in mind when he comanded that you work for six days and rest on the seventh day.

I hate to tell you, But God was sitting a type & shadow when he rested on the 7th day, God never gets tired nor does he need to rest, But that 7th day which is 1000 yrs, types out the 1000 yrs. of the milliennium, Our rest today is in Jesus Christ, When we have the Holy Ghost, We have the rest that Jesus spoke of, If you are a male, The bible says if the man will not provide for those of his own household that he denies the faith, Yes there is different way you can provide for your family, But we are not to just sit back & try to calculate how much money we have & to see if it is enough to carry us over to the end time. Because the bible says there shall be 2 in the field(work Place),Therefore they went on with their daily jobs, I am retired now myself, But I did work 38 yrs. to provide for my family, & therefore I do have a good pension, God told Adam after sin enter in that from that day forward, man will earn their living from the sweat of thy face., If you are disable as I am, then that too is a diiferent story. I injurded my spine in 1994, & I work with a bad back until I retired in Jan. 2006, Now I use a cane sometimes to walk. I learn to work when I was 9 yrs. old in the corn fields for my uncle back in the 1950's, A tractor was like having a new house, we did things by hand. Just don't be lazy & think that the world owes you a living, I know many young people that do not want to work, But lay around & let their grandparents take care of them & I am talking about married couples.

I didn't do the math, but you have an intriguing plan. I think volunteer work still counts. The bible says that if a man doesn't work, he doesn't eat. It doesn't say he has to have a paycheck. If you can feed yourself and give away your time for the benefit of others, the world will be a richer place.

Your interest rate sounds too low. You might check into it.

Jesus said that God desires mercy over sacrifice. Which is better to keep the Sabbath or to work to help other? Yes they are commandements from God, but those commandments were for a people chosen by God to keep them purified to be an example for the rest of the world that the world should see how to honor the Creator of the worlds. Jesus said I leave you two commandments: You shall love God with all your heart and all your soul above all things, and your shall love your neighbor as you love yourself. It is better to do good than to follow the Sabbath it is better to be merciful then to hate while your observe the holy feasts, it is better to be just and forget the fat of the feast all night till morning, than to be corrupt. Yes you have to follow all commandments but God is merciful and oft-returning. There are more important things that we negelect like praying to God and praising Him always, or to fear that which harms our flesh and not our souls while we fear not God. Constructive criticism: Read some more and understand why God wrote what He wrote. I suggest that you also read the Quran. For how can you deny the book if you have not read it and if you had read it and understood it you would know it to be from you Lord and my Lord. You read the bible and not the Quran. In a way that too is hypocricy for lack of a less insulting word. Peace be with you.

You must have a high return investor to get $175 a week for 70 years out of a measly $70,000.
Hope it's true for you.

Anyway, you'll get bored of it and do a little something on the side.

Those who refuse work on a Saturday still typically fail obedience to the commandment by hiring those who will; or by working 5 or less days a week instead of the commanded 6.

For we who live in the New Testament age, obedience to the Law of Moses is superceded by faith in Jesus and walking in love and faith based on His perfect fulfillment of all the Law- combined with His perfect sacrifice for all sins.

For the believer in Jesus who does not put confidence in works of the flesh or compliance to the laws of Moses, righteousness is accorded to him or her as a gift.
See Romans. chapter 4: 4, 5, etc.

You can't live on $175 a week for the rest of your life unless you live at home forever.

You aren't even working any days, what difference does it make?

What the commandment meant was that you should spend the seventh day and one tenth your money so the church and preachers could rest the other six days.

I doubt He meant it literally. I think he meant that one day a week, you chill and just relax, however you choose to do so. (unless you relax by murdering people, stealing, looting, etc.)
The "do your work" is figurative.....whatever is work to you.

You're being sort of nitpicky now, LOL.
God is not this heavy taskmaster who expects you to kill yourself with heavy work 6 days a week.
