I am an Atheist/Deist but in this case I agree with "Philip C"
Some will question their faith and find it lacking, others will have their resolve strengthened.
The people that don't simply accept without question I have respect for. Regardless of what you find I believe you will be a better person for asking questions than doubting in secrecy. If you find truth in your faith you may be able to help others, if you do not.. well then your doubt will no longer concern you.
Best of luck either way.

Thats what I did, i questioned it, and found that following the literal truth of the bible is insane. But it did open up the possibility for non-material existance. I am in no way an atheist AT ALL, but blindly following any teaching other than that you *feel* in your spiritual side, is folly. I found that the churches are fantastic at opening you up to spiritual well-being, but no-one should EVER use religion as a replacement to science in the natural world.
For me, there is no arguement between science and religion - both work on different levels and should never be in conflict.

They do such questioning privately, but they do it. They don't like to admit it, but it happens to most Christians sooner or later. They even have a term for it. It's called "the dark night of the soul." The idea is, of course, that morning always comes.

I'm a Southern Baptist as well, and have never backed away from an argument, but neither will I "argue" the Bible or my faith. So your assessment of "always noticed" is incorrect, as is "they know they can't win" ... because we follow the example of Jesus, who after all, won :)
Arguing with people who begin their "question" with an outright lie is foolishness.

I think all NORMAL christians at one point and time will question their faith. I know I did and I'm actually glad that I went through it. I came out of it all with my faith even stronger because of it.

We should always have questions, otherwise we'd be following something blindly and God wouldn't want that. That why it's written in James 1:5 "So, if any one of YOU is lacking in wisdom, let him keep on asking God, for he gives generously to all and without reproaching; and it will be given him."
We're commanded to love God "with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind.’ This is the greatest and first commandment." (Matthew 22:37,38) By making efforts to know God's personality, purposes, and requirements, we are serving him with a whole mind.

Dont try to force your beliefs on them. Let them belief it if they wont. You doing this gives them justification to force their beliefs on us-even those of us who want to quietly coexist.
You will hit a point with anything where you have to stop applying logic-it happens in all religion and in science. You just dont have all the info.
Were we supposed to understand everything, metal wouldnt turn red when heated and ether would exist.

All things may be questioned -- but not all things have answers, though most questions do have good answers.

I question things. And I have several on here that like to debate me. I like good healthy discussion. From this we can all learn. If I don't know an answer, I will study it and find one.
