What should I do? Is he going to die? Is pooping (liquidy), and urining all over the house a symptom? It is like incontrolably that he goes everywhere. Is this just a reaction to the chocolate? my dog is a shih tzu and is 2 years old. he only ate a bar that was covered in chocolate but it was only a half a bar (dark chocolate). He weighs about 11.5 pounds. HELP!!!!!!!!

All I know is that you should not feed chocolate for humans to dogs as it can make them ill. I would take him to the vet just to make sure he is ok.

chocolate is toxic to most dogs because of the high concentration of electrolytes. milk chocolate is the least harmful to dogs and semi-sweet is the worst. my dog ate some chocolate hot fudge and she had liquidy diharrea too. I took her to the vet and she said to not let her eat any treats for about a week and watch her for about a week and not to scold her when she messes or it will dicourage her and she might just mess all the more. you should take your dog to the vet to make sure he's okay but keep a careful eye on him. your dog will be fine.
hope he feels better and this was helpful.

Actually, the vet will tell you-because I went through this with one of my dogs- it is bakers chocolate that is toxic to a dog, not regular chocolate.

Possibly your dogs system is irritated by the chocolate, or it is something unrelated to the chocolate. The best thing to do is what everyone here has said- take your dog to the vets.

But don't worry about the chocolate unless it's bakers chocolate.

My dog's mother, a black lab ate an entire chocolate cake off the kitchen tabe one night and she lived another 8 years after that. You can take the dog to the vet if you'd like, especially if it will give you more reassurance, but he will be okay.

NEVER give chocolate to a dog. Take the little sweetie to the VET IMMEDIATELY!

Dogs cannot digest chocolate.

Sadly, choc. is toxic for dogs. I think Dark Choc. being the worst but the dog needs to consume alot to die from it. I would call the vet. You can do a search and find out the body weight/choc. amount needed to cause a toxic reaction/death.
Poor thing is really not doing well. Try and post back to tell us how he is doing. :-(
