People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.

If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be.
Now put foundations under them.

Cordoba, lejuna y sola.

It's a Spanish phrase in a poem I read in my Spanish 5 class.

Cordoba is a city in Spain out there in the middle of nowhere.

The sentence says "Cordoba, lonely and alone".

I also love love love the word "crepuscula", which means twilight in Spanish.

Actually, the one above, Shall I compare thee to a summer's day, was by Robert Browning to his wife, Elizabeth Barrett Browning. Oh, maybe not, that may have been "How do I love you, let me count the ways."

It is "Mitakayu Oyasin". It's Native American Indian for "We are all family." The importance is that it really means that all people are connected, not just Indians. And on its deepest, truest level, is that all on Earth are connected. All living things-- people, animals, plants, rivers, trees, on and on-- must truly be connected to live. This short saying totally impacted my life once I began to understand it. I hope it does in your life too.

Love works in miracles every day: such as weakening the strong, and stretching the weak; making fools of the wise, and wise men of fools; favouring the passions, destroying reason, and in a word, turning everything topsy-turvy...........
