Which anti-virus? They are usually designed to be hard to remove so that someone can not write a virus which removes the anti-virus program. Please edit with the name of the anti-virus program and then someone can give you the instructions. It is different with each one (again to keep viruses from removing them)

Which anti virus is it? For most, go to control program, add/rempve program and click remove. Some others may have uninstall option built in.

It's better if you use an utility program called System Mechanic Pro. Over there there is an option for removal of this kind of programs.

Try to run your anti-virus in SafeMode. If you know the location of the file, you should be able to delete it in SafeMode.
