A full chest x-ray is only about 45 millirem (measurement of heath effects from radiation - Radiat Equivilent Man) So about 150 mR in total. The average human receives 250 mR per year from background radiation. A few x-rays once in awhile won't have any measurable increase in the chances of contracting cancer or other illness. Relax, I have received over 24 REM in the last 18 years. The difference that makes in my chances of coming down with some form of cancer is only about .02%.

Hope this helps,

Stop scaring yourself with the internet. If your really concerned go an see your GP x

I've had loads of xrays. About 7 in 2007 just for starters (I'm REALLY clumsy!) I had my first in 1987. So after 20 years of them I still haven't got cancer x

Stop reading and ask a healthcare professional. Honestly, I'm a nurse, and I still scare myself sometimes when I'm researching a particular illness! It's not always healthy for us to know so much.

You can stop worrying! Worry makes your health much worse.

I would recommend Bach Flowers and Reiki to help you cope with the stress.

Homeopathy also has some good solutions.

Email me separately for help. My advice is free.
