If there were a perfect diet (as per the pop culture definition of diet), then fad diets and diet pills, etc. wouldn't be making gazillions of dollars a year. Also, I tink that there is no such thing as "perfect", but that's just me.
As has already been said, eat whole, real foods, and watch ingredient lists. (I avoid anything with corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oils, partially hydrogenated oils [I can't figure out how something with hydrogenated oil can be trans fat free anyway] and anything that looks as though it was man-created in a lab, not God-created in nature.) Also, plenty of activity to even things out and keep the heart going. (I should listen to that part. I'm pretty sedentary, despite my eating habits/lifestyle.)
I hope this helps.

The perfect diet is to eat a healthy well-balanced diet all the time, and exercise regularly.
Anything else is a gimmick. Make a lifestyle change...don't just go on a diet. âº

There is no perfect diet. Just eat everything in moderation and exercise everyday for at least 30 mins.
As long as you burn more calories than you take in, you'll lose the pounds in a healthy manner.
Good Luck!
