I think most Christians are willing to accept that the story in Genesis may be a parable and that it is possible it should not be taken literally.

Evolution is a process, just like the weather is a process. It is impossible to know if either is guided or not. There are too many unknown factors that go into these processes for us ever to predict the outcome so we can never know if God was involved.

Oh I think most Christians are willing to accept that we make mistakes. Think about how Martin Luther told the Roman Catholics that the Catholics had gotten it wrong.

Religion is founded on ignorance. It will always abhor investigation into the truth because this threatens its core dogma. It may well come to terms with evolution, but that will just move the target on.

What proof? We have not witnessed evolution! The mistake people make is they equate 'survival of the fittest' with evolution. It's not evolution - changes of the pepper moth resulted in a reduction of genetic information. To have evolution you need an increase of genetic information. There is no proof.

Has humanity changed lately or are we the same? Are we still fish coming out of the sea or monkeys evolving into humans? Are we changing into super beings?
