Sounds weird, but a baking soda scrub followed by hydrogen peroxide really work wonders on blackheads. To prevent them keep your skin super clean and dont sleep with make-up on your face.

This works for me.
Put a tablespoon of Epsom salts in a half cup of hot water.
Dip in a sponge or rag and hold it on the blackheads until rag cools. Repeat. At first it appears nothing happens but overnight the pores clean themselves, or repeat. They stay away.
Don't squeeze.

Find a 3 step system product. A cleanser, a toner, and a moisturizer. The toner definately helps your blackheads. Make sure you still use moisturizer after, but not too much.

I've never tried this but read this in a remedy book. Put Elmer's glue over area - let dry - then peel of. Also, there is this Nivea Q10 Gentle microdermabrasion kit at Wal-Mart that is good.

fill a sink with hot water and put your head over it covering your head with a towel for 5 minutes - this opens the pores and then do a scrub on them that will help loads. dont use lemon juice (he thinks its the answer to everything!!)
