A car exists because somebody built it.
Every creation needs a creator.
The Almighty is real because it was He, the Creator, who created the world, included you and me.

My son 10 yrs just read Genesis out of the blue yeaterday ( I think He saw me reading for awhile ) . He finished first 4-5 chapter. He put down the book and asked quite a lot of question.
You could get some idea from my question,
10 Yrs old boy's questions on GENESIS. What should I answer?
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ank8Q3G5cZXUQZykesf6SN_sy6IX?qid=20070628054200AA3weYZ
I did know the answers, however I did ask to get more info.
I would say, let him be. Whatever He want to believe. As long as we can guide them not to wrong track.
I didn't force my son to read or understand Atheist, even though I am. However, I do encourage him to read all other religion books.
Hope it help

Good question. Our society doesn't support the teaching of children as it once did.
I remember my father saying that honesty is it's own reward and I often wondered what he meant until one day it dawned on me.
With that in mind, I'm thinking I might start with the concept of being good. Ask him "why should we be good?" When answers come back that indicate a desire for reward or fear of punishment, explain that fear and love of rewards cannot be the basis for being good because fear and rewards are just ways that society controls us.
Independence Day is around the corner so read the preamble where it says "all men are created..." and the words "endowed by their creator". Explain how being created beings makes us all brothers and sisters. Then explain how love then naturally flows from that relationship and then how being good flows naturally from love.
This isn't proof that the Bible is true, but it shows that God who created us is necessary for there to be an order to the universe which we call good. It's a start.

dont tell him show him. the bible wont help an 11/12 year old. or else buy a simplified version.
in the letter to the corinthians is a "sonnet" about love. find it. read it out to him and ask him if he can put HIS name instead of love. or your name. and then tell him you are going to show him God. in the place of love write god and thats the perfect description of god. encourage him to talk to him, not pray and soon god will become a reality for him

That's just pathetic. The Bible is just a made-up book, and it's disgusting that you would come here and pretend to ask for advice on how to lie to your children.
If you want a Biblical answer, I suggest that you build two altars, soak one with water, and the other with gasoline, and have your children alternatively pray to Baal to send fire to consume the gasoline-soaked one, and then to your God to send fire to consume the water-soaked one. Then when your God sends down the fire and destroys both altars, your children will be convinced.
That's straight from the Bible, lady. Put up or shut up.

I think religion should be issued a restraining order to stay 50-feet from minors. It's railroading kids into the religion of their parents, before the kid even knows what a religion is. At least give them a fighting chance to make up their own minds, instead of getting their skull filled with their parent's regurgitation.

Why ,simply prove it to him.Jesus clearly said that any who believed in him would do all he did,and greater things.A scientific test set up by God himself in the bible.Do a miracle, like Jesus SO CLEARLY stated ANY believer would be able to do.That ought to prove it nicely

Dumb kid needs proof, eh?
How dare he. LOL
I suppose you could threaten him and tell him more lies; tell him thinking is a sin and if he continues he will go to hell.
Nothing like a threat of hell to clean up someone's act.
A bit of child abuse goes a long way.

If the christian religion is true, it will survive any level of scrutiny. If it is false, then it isn't worth following. Either way, there is no reason to stop someone examining it to see if it's true. To stop them finding out for themselves is just closing their mind.

You can't force your beliefs on him, all you can do is sit him down and explain to him what you believe and let him decide for himself.
If you try to force what you believe on him, he may resent you in the future for not letting him make up his own mind.
