human rights and the fact of racial discrimination are the main two points. they have no fixed address in many cases so how do u catchup with them to claim the taxes from what they have earnt. i know its wrong but how do u police some one when you dont know where they are or what they have done

They do, but are probably unaware of the fact that for the income they derive from the black economy they have to pay 17.5% VAT and 70% tax on fuel.
If that revenue went directly into the N H S they would not be free riders but that is unfortunately not the case.
The point is if Britain unloaded its drop outs on another country the government would probably be taken before the European Court of Justice and charged with infringement of human rights.

You cannot generalise, but unfortunately there are far too many people these days who prefer to rely on benefits than look for a day's work. Its mainly to do with this Government who have made it too easy for people to live off the State, giving them too much and in lots of cases, for more than you or I would earn by working, and for them not to clamp down on those who abuse the system.

all these chattering class NIMBY should be made to live with travellers, asylum seekers, peace camp dwellers etc for a while, then lets hear their comments, and judge their attitude, how much less tax would we have to pay if everybody was self supporting.(bet this gets rated as a rant and gets pulled)

There is NO real connnection between Taxes and Benefits ...
.. other than the fact that those who pay the most Tax get the least benefits :-)

The answer to that one has to be , the lack of law and order , why should they not pay tax's , and as a tax payer I feel cheated
