I have two questions.
1 - The doctor said it was a size of a golf ball , is that big or small?
2- How dangerous is kidney cancer? i know if it hasnt speard out you can just remove the kidney , but what if it has been speared out other places?

and also , please be honest with me ,i love love my grandpa a lot , i always use to watch basketball with him and joke around with him . whats the % he will survive =( , thanks for any help

Hold a golf ball up to your body, and consider it's size. It reasonable when you consider that a normal kidney is about 12 cms in length. Unfortunately as for survival rates, it depends on whether the tumor was encapsulated (within it's own sac), whether it had grown around any organs, and as the above contributor said, whether it has spread. If the doctor has managed to remove the tumor (even including the kidney) and that was all there was, then his chance is quite good, however, if the tumor has spread, then other treatments will be required in addition to the surgery, and that then depends on his state of health, length of treatment, type of cancer. Hope all goes well for you

Sorry, can't tell you anything. I have no idea. It all depends on if it has spread, where it is spread, and how much it has spread.

Golf ball size isn't big.
