About faith as experience etc

you know, we used to define the word faith as love. like if u said: i love you or i have faith in you - they meant the same thing- you can test this out with shakespeare, but english has changed since the reformation

The two religions have opposite understandings of God.

Christianity teaches that we are all sinners, that we don't deserve God's love, but he loves us anyway, the way a Father loves his children.

But the Koran has a whole list of categories of sinners that Allah does not love:

2.190: surely Allah does not love those who exceed the limits (in war).
2.276: Allah does not love any ungrateful sinner.
3.32: Allah does not love the unbelievers.
3.57: Allah does not love the unjust.
3.140: Allah does not love the unjust.
4.36: surely Allah does not love him who is proud, boastful;
4.107: surely Allah does not love him who is treacherous, sinful;
5.64: Allah does not love the mischief-makers.
5.87: surely Allah does not love those who exceed the limits.
28.76: surely Allah does not love the exultant;
28.77: surely Allah does not love the mischief-makers.
8.58: surely Allah does not love the treacherous.
22.38: surely Allah does not love any one who is unfaithful, ungrateful.
31.18: surely Allah does not love any self-conceited boaster;
57.23: Allah does not love any arrogant boaster.

There are many many differences -- Jesus never assembled an army and went out to conquer -- but to say that God does not love sinners goes completely against the foundation of Christianity.

To love someone only when they're doing what you say is not love at all -- it's just the love of power. God's love does not turn on and off like a faucet, depending on our behavior.

I believe that the muslim belief is far from the truth and I pray that they find a relationship with Jesus, Im not here to bash them but any belief that is not of God is heretical.

The God that spoke to Moses is not the Allah that Muhamamd followed. Muhammad left the true word of God to follow Allah who did not agree with the God that was before Muhammad. Moses said that a true prophet of God must be in agreement with the prophets of God and the word of God. If Muhammad was in agreement with Moses he would clearly know he is not a prophet of God. If Muslims claim the word of God corrupt them Muhamad could not be a prophet of God.
The God of Abrham believed that a prophet could not bear witness of himself but would be foretold by the prophets or anounced by God...Again if the word of God had been corrupt it would be impossible for the word to anounce a prophet. If the Bible is not corrupt then Muhammad would have to be in agreement with it and the words of the prophets and his book is not in agreement with the word of God that was before him. Therfore it is easy to say Muhmmad did not teach the word of God and was not a prophet of God. Muslims follow a dead man rather than a living God.

Muslims themselves are the only ones responsible for the way others see them. They try to blame everyone else for their terrorist actions, but a lot of other people have endured much worse and didn't resort to slaughtering innocent men, women and children, INCLUDING those of the same faith like they're doing in Iraq and Gaza today.

And when you have a religion that COMMANDS you to kill people who don't believe the way you do, don't be surprised if no-one invites you to their parties.

==============================================

When Mohammad stated:

Sura 8:12

"I am with you; so support those who believed. I will strike terror into the hearts of those who disbelieved. You may strike them above the necks, and you may strike even every finger."

It even promoted terrorism in the Koran.

Sura (2:216) - Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not.

Sura (3:151) - Soon shall We cast terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers, for that they joined companions with Allah, for which He had sent no authority.

Sura 3:151 speaks directly of killing Christians (above)

9:5 Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the non-believers wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush.

Surah II: 98 – “Allah is the enemy of the unbelievers.”

Surah II: 191-193 – “Kill them [unbelievers] wherever you find them….Fight with them until there is no persecution, and religion should be only for Allah.”

Surah II: 216 – “Fighting is enjoined on you, and it is an object of dislike to you; and it may be that you dislike a thing while it is good for you, and it may be that you love a thing while it is evil for you, and Allah knows, while you do not know.”

Surah III: 19 – “Surely the true religion with Allah is Islam…and whoever disbelieves in the communications of Allah then surely Allah is quick in reckoning.”

Surah IV: 104 – “Be not weak in pursuit of the enemy.”

Surah V: 51 – “O you who believe! Do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whosoever among you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people.”

Surah VIII: 12 – “I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them.”

Surah VIII: 15-17 – “O you who believe! When you meet those who disbelieve marching for war, turn not your backs to them. Whoever shall turn his back to them on that day – unless he turn aside for the sake of fighting or withdraws to a company – then he, indeed, becomes deserving of Allah’s wrath, and his abode is hell… So you did not slay them, but it was Allah who slew them…that He might confer upon the believers a good gift from Himself; surely Allah is Hearing, Knowing.”

Surah IX: 29 – “Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the latter day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His Apostle have prohibited, nor follow the religion of truth… until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection.”

Surah IX:33 – “[Allah] it is who sent His Apostle with guidance and the religion of truth, that He might cause it to prevail over all religions, though polytheists may be averse.”

Surah IX: 73 – “O Prophet! Strive hard against the unbelievers and the hypocrites and be unyielding to them; and their abode is hell, and evil is their destination.”

Surah IX: 123 – “O you who believe! Fight those of the unbelievers who are near to you and let them find in your hardness; and know that Allah is with those who guard (against evil).”

==============================================

He (Mohammad) was just laying bare the barbarity of his own culture and raising it to a religious level.

***** The true heart and soul of Islam is hatred.

***** We can see this everyday in Gaza, Baghdad, Tehran, Mecca, Medina, Iraq, Pakistan, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, London, New York, Australia, etc.
