Last night I dreamt that I sitting and talking to a girl about exams. In my dream it was the day before my last exams. I dreamt that I had 3 to sit.
The girl I was talking to had blonde curly hair and she wasn't very talkative, she sat with a smirk on her face. I asked her when her exams ended, and she told me they would continue after mine had finished- that she had more to go.
When I looked at her she had a brown spider crawling on the left side of her face and onto her eye. I felt myself hesitate over telling her.
She got up and walked outside onto a patio area. I still didn't know whether to tell her about the spider- but I began to think that she had realised as that was why she had moved outside of the house- to flick the spider off. She didn't remove the spider. My hesitation changed to fear - I felt that if I told her, she would throw the spider at me. My mother walked outside and joined us.

She turned her back to the girl to look at something else and the girl picked up dirt (Earth) and threw it at the back of my mother. I wanted this disrespect to stop, so I told my mother who turned around, but felt like a little girl again 'telling tales'.

I felt that the power balance had shifted- power moved from the girl to me and I was aware that this could cause repercussions.

The girl picked up a clay jug and threw it at my mother. It struck her on the head and she look woozy and stunned. My first instinct was to make sure my mother was ok. I kissed my mother where the jug had hit her on the head and was caught between wanting to ... beat the crap out of the girl and look after my mother. I then woke up.

Now, I just want to add that in real life.. I would not want to 'beat anyone up'.

What could this dream be about? It seems very symbolic.

Wow, I found that vaguely interesting. Usually other people have such lame-sounding dreams.

I'll even take a crack at interpreting it. Let's see... you ate... mac and cheese before bed. Dream interp. is hard. I just figured, exams = college = poor = mac & cheese.

Wow, it would take awhile to make sense of this whole dream. But exam can represent being tested by things in life. The blonde haired girl could be someone you know who has the the same character. Beware of people who see you coming out of a trial but they still have troubles going on in their life. The spider represents deception and lies and the reason you see it on this person's face is because they perceiving things under a deception or lie. Whoever this person is has a issue with you and your mother. You said the girl threw "dirt" on your mother's back. This represents slander or making someone else look "dirty". Also, the thing with your mother getting hit from behind with the clay jar. She should watch her back and be aware, because she will be wounded by this girl. Your dream is about some kind of conflict with a individual who is walking under the influence of a life.

Hm, I'm GUESSING that... you are not fond of this girl, who seems to embody the stereotypical blonde look, shy (which, again, might be annoying), and seemingly proud of her accomplishments (if ya specifically mention it was a "smirk," it must have been blatantly obvious). When she describes how she would take exams "after [yours] have finished," this might refer to a "Oh yeah? Well, THIS is happening to me!.." scenario, in which a contest of who has it worse ensues (i.e. whoever has it worse, gets more sympathy?). This is a very big "maybe" however..

That the girl had a spider on her face might refer to a possible danger (?), or perhaps it could be an in-depth reference to the deceptive nature of spiders, adjoined with the phrase, "what goes around, comes around." ..Doubtful, though. I imagine it was the previous, for you "hesitate over telling her." Also, that you felt that upon being informed of the spider, she "would throw the spider at [you]" seems to be a deference to her unjust personality.

That she threw dirt on your mother, speaks to me of a highly insensitive display of disrespect. This probably adds another reason to why you dislike the girl. Additionally, your mother, not having previous introduction, seems to exist merely to heighten that girl's offense to your reputation.

That she throws a "clay jar" at your mother's head may either be a reference to a clay jar in your past having inflicted much damage (either witnessed or experienced), or it could be the intrinsic nature of a clay jar itself, that such frangible materials would hold anything. But.. doubtful again. A direct attack on your mother would seem to me to be an attack on your reputation. The fact that she needed to be nursed may be a reaffirmation of the attack on your reputation.

So.. the point? I think the purpose of this dream was to either illustrate a current struggle between 'getting revenge' and 'protecting life,' or a past one. All in all, this analysis might have been lacking. I'm not sure why, but I'm tired.

The spider mean 'the mother' to psychologists, so the dream is all about her. It is also about good fortune as well. You can probably work it out yourself because you know how things are with her. Put all the important words together - see if you recognise any pattern - that matches how you feel about your dream.

Only you know what the dream means but it is a little telling to tell you the truth...
There is a common misconception in modern society that there can ultimately be only one winner in a given situation such as, say school...or that show American Idol. That is so not true. If we work together, everybody wins.
Don't stress over stuff. It will all work itself out.

Youre right this dream is very symbolic and seems important.I can't quite grasp it all.

But it has some strong female elements and seems to be about your role as a woman:

The clay jug = women are sometimes symbolised by a vessel, vase, jug of some sort, probably because we are considered recepetive. This is very suggestive here as it also made of clay/earth.

The spider= is associated with feminine power "the web she weaves" but for many of us they represent hidden fears, dangers.

The earth/dirt = is generally associated with naturalness, grounding, earthniess and feminine/maternal ideals we sometimes refer to "mother earth" "earth mother" but also worthlessness or getting "the dirt" on people.

Your mother= is your own feelings about your mother but also nuturing, protection, comfort, safety, instinct - though interestingly in this dream its you,not your mother who nutures and protects.Perhaps this is a role youve taken in life,a more patriarchal role.

The left eye: reflects fluid, feminine, lunar energy, and intuition.

Exams are metaphoric of being examined and judged in some way.Though they may reflect a general anxiety or a fear of not meeting our own expectations.

The blonde girl may be some aspect of yourself which you have'nt explored ?or are afraid of? or someone you know? She smirks - there is distrust linked with that but also enormous confidence, self assurance and satisfaction. The spider on her face is something only you fear, but its a fear she is not even aware of or concerned about.Do you know anyone like this in life? who has that level of self assurance? You really have to ask yourself what does this girl symbolise to me?

Whats interesting is that even later on when she is aware of the spider there is no reaction of fear from her, she simply goes outside, doesnt attempt to remove what others would be deeply afraid of.This whole scene embodies self trust and self confidence. She literally 'faces' her fears.

Your fear grows later when you feel threatened by her,by her passing something you fear onto you.Unknown people often stand in for unacknowledged parts of our personality. Here your mother refuses to acnowledge her and you are afraid of her.She reacts to this by throwing dirt at your mother, the main thing being pointed out here is a want of a reaction/acknowledgement of this girls presence/traits in your mother or you and her absence or denial of them?

This becomes so great that later the girl has to throw a jug at her head,it literally has to "hit her in the head" before she acknowledges this part of herself or fear, and even then the reaction is fairly slight, she is only stunned.

You in the end take on both a maternal and paternal role of wanting to protect, comfort or prevent your mother from any injuries/hurt and a desire to revenge and get rid of these aspects of the girl entirely.
