Oh, you're asking about the infamous: KENNEDY RIFLE.
I've only fired this model once, at a caliche rock the size of a basket ball. I had the carbine model (shorter barrel, same action n caliber). The rock was completely pulverized and I was using ball ammo, the same type as the... Magic Bullet.
Facts about the Italian Carcano: 1. It is still recognized as the fastest military bolt action rifle in the world; 2. It is very utilitarian; 3. It is reasonably accurate; It is even MORE accurate with a 4-power scope.
Can three shots be fired accurately with one of these in under seven seconds? It is NOT impossible, particularly for a trained sniper. Consider also that the shots taken at the motorcade were not really difficult shots. The motorcade was moving at a steady speed under 20 MPH. The car was an open-top model and the target(s) was/were in plain view. The shooter had a good vantage point and his rifle was more than adequate for the task. Did what's-his-name do it? As we say in South Texas: ¡Quien sabe! (Who knows!).
But one thing is certain, what's-his-name died an innocent man.You see, in the good ole USA a man is innocent... Until proven guilt. He didn't live long enough to stand trial. Boggles the mind, doesn't it!
Best.

I've seen it done,
more than once,
by several different shooters,
on television.
Why do folks have such a hard time believeing this?
If self trained hunters can hit multiple flying ducks repeatedly with a shotgun, why is it so hard to believe a Marine trained (ex) soldier can hit a moving target with a scoped military rifle? You could learn to do it yourself with only a couple hours of expert live fire instruction and practice. Start in the morning and be able to make the shot by early afternoon!
Whether Lee Harvey Oswald shot JFK, or J. Edgar Hoover shot JFK, He's just as dead either way. Probably a good thing, too.
People forget that JFK was dangerously close to provoking a global nuclear war with the Soviets. He didn't seem to give a damn about the fact that his cavalier stance was leading us toward the end of human civilization...
An ex-CIA agent told me one time, "It doesn't matter WHO killed JFK - But when you say your prayers at night, Just thank God that SOMEBODY did."

Haven't fired that rifle myself, that is more than 2 seconds per round...that means only 2 workings of the action assuming a round is chambered at the start. Getting the bullets out of the barrel is very possible...hitting the mark depends on who is using the tool. With proper training and practice I think it would be very possible.

It isn't so difficult I think. I use mainly bolt-action rifles in hunting, because they are more accurate than types that fire more rapidly. That is about 2.27 seconds for each shot, so that presents no difficulty to a man who is good with his rifle. I can do it faster with my Sako and Weatherby bolt-actions. There are some even faster. There are straight pull models and smoother models. You are asking about the JFK assassination, and I say Oswald did it. I do not believe conspiracy theories without very strong evidence.

The answer to your question is YES...As others have already said it was used in the Kennedy assassination and at least 15 other tests were done throughout the US in labs/outdoor ranges, under controlled conditions and different shooters were able to shoot just as fast and accurately. Myself and several of my friends were able to get that many shots off in under 7 seconds shooting a Sako .308 caliber bolt action rifle with 2-10X scope accurately (We shot a watermelon, that of course didn't shoot back)

Probably faster with a short throw bolt, like a British Enfield.
