If you are given an application that you have to write out then mistakes may be made. It would show forethought if you had written the answers on a plain piece of paper and then copied them onto the application.
As long as it is the same color ink I don't think it would be noticed.
And you can balance some of the corrections by also presenting a concise, well-prepared resume with the application.

Yes It would make you look bad. When you apply for a job your application is your first impression. To how they look at you. And you should only use Blue or Black Ink.

Personally, I'd sling their application straight into the bin - sorry :( It shows a lack of foresight (not reading form first and having to change things) and a lack of attention to details.

Not what I look for in an employee.
