we know that we are good or bad by what God- through Devotees and scripture tells us.
So you're bad because you didn't live up to the words of scripture or the devotees instructions to you.
anyways, why do you (or me, or anyone) do these things even when you try not to?.... well, you are conditioned. You have done these things for billions of lifetimes. A bad habbit is hard to kick.
Solution? Keep doing the best you can. You're going to enjoy and suffer the results of all your activities, so why worry about it too much? When you fall down, pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and keep on going!
And concentrate on the good in your life. Concentrate on what you want your life to be. Dwell on your strengths. Don't dwell on your weaknesses. that will only make them more prominent in your life.
Try to really DWELL, to live and think and meditate about what you want to do, how you want to live and think, how you are good- (because despite your badness, I know you have some goodness in there too).
After all this is only all temporary illusion and false ego. This isn't the real you... So you're not really bad at all... your pure spirit soul.
Allow yourself to love and care for yourself! Love heals all things.
I love you! you can too! :-)

We are all sinners. A sin is any thought or action that falls short of God's will. God is perfect, and anything we do that falls short of His perfection is sin.
The Bible actually uses a number of examples or "word pictures" to illustrate what this means. For example, it tells us that sin is like an archer who misses the target. He draws back his bow and sends the arrow on its way—but instead of hitting the bull's-eye, it veers off course and misses the mark. The arrow may only miss it a little bit or it may miss it a great deal—but the result is the same: The arrow doesn't land where it is supposed to.
The same is true of sin. God's will is like the center of that target—and when we sin, we fall short of His will or miss the mark. And this is something we do every day; as the Bible says, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). Even when we aren't aware of it, we commit sin by the things we do (or fail to do), or by the way we think.
This is why we need Christ, for only He can forgive us all our sins, and only He can help us live the way we should. We can't forgive ourselves, nor can we change our hearts and make ourselves better in God's eyes. But when we know Christ, He takes away our sins and comes to live within us by His Spirit. Does He live today in your heart?

Is that why DID I do bad things, or why DO i do bad things?
If it's a DID then it's all part of learning process. Without failure you can't appreciate success, without punishment you can't appreciate gratitude.
If you're still doing bad things, well, maybe ou need to sit and take a look at whats wrong in life, and ust knuckle down and stop doing those things.

Because you are human, honey.
We all do things we are ashamed of...and yet we are beautiful creatures. People make mistakes. It's just a fact of life.
Crazy, amazing, selfish, strong, wild, stubborn, compassionate, apathetic beings we are.
It's a part of the human experience.
And I doubt you are truly "bad". ;)

Maybe you're not really bad, just a little like Mae West meant when she said "I used to be Snow White, but I sort of drifted"?

brett you are funny!
calliope--I agree with you....
and nicrodj- you haven't met me yet!-
bottom line--lets learn from our mistakes and try to improve--
our soul is good -it's made of goodness- its made of beauty
but our our DNA sucks! the hell we've created sucks-- but guess what -you are not your body anymore than you are the clothes you wear--you are pure soul- when you realize that --you will act on it ! And when you act on it -you will fly away from all bad conceptions-because you will realize that they aren't part of you anymore-and you aren't listening to the bad advice of your mind anymore-----OK? ( I'm talking to me here!)

You tend to live in the moment and you're beginning to realize that you should regain control of yourself and focus on the future - Looking back, things always look worse than they really were.
Religion.. Spirits.. Whatever, none of that has anything to do with what you're dealing with..
That's my guess.
